The Life and Times of W & D Part II (I Think)

Well it's been a rough patch in this epoch of my life, and I just can't seem to pull it together. I have however decided to muster just enough strength to post something else and perhaps read up on a few of your blogs...don't get mad if I don't get to them all, I beg your forgiveness in advance.

As you all know, the boys are back to school...they are in 6th grade (middle school) and 4th grade this year. My 4th grader is having a hard time grasping the concept of the fact that summer break is over and it's time to get down to business! He has already gotten in trouble 3 times and hasn't even completed a full 3 weeks. He also has this teacher who I was about to ROLL DOWN on when W had her 2 years ago and she's already starting SHIT! I just hope I don't have to go up there and go 360 degrees of ig-nit on their asses!

W's interest in girls is increasing at a very rapid pace. He's doing okay with his school work which I watch with a very close eye and pick through with a fine-tooth comb...but his hormones are amok! I found a little letter to "Joy" a short while back that went a little something like this:

"Joy, I love you. I realize there may be another boy, but you are fine and I want you to be my Boo. Will you go out with me? Circle one Yes No"

Like, what...the...FUCK?!

In other news...I was exiting the expressway on my way home a short while back, and there was a homeless man standing there with the infamous "Will work for food sign" but he also had it translated in Spanish??? I was quite amused.

In comments: What have I been missing while these fucking fuckers at work are getting on my last damned nerve, I'm depressed, and debating another relocation?!

so far the hormones are still under wraps here. although there is the occasional beginings of a blush if a very cute, older boy talks to her.
what's a 'boo'? does this mean i'm gonna need some kind of book or online website to translate my kids notes? shit.
3 times in less than 3 weeks! damn girl, good luck with that.
as for me? i've learned to never mention rick springfield on my blog again. it brings out the teeny bopper army. :)
(wanna move to margarettaville with me? i'm leaving as soon as the mental bags are packed. chin up, the only constant is change and ~some~ of that is bound to be for the better.)

Ah, so Tera is indeed grumpy... though I feel blessed to have been blessed by her blessed grumpy presence.

Relocate? Why? Just get a new job.

Can someone draw a picture for me of 360 degrees of ig-nit?

Tera said...

NoR~Grumpy indeed!

Relocate in lieu of the new job because EVERYTHING around here just PISSES THE SHIT OUT OF ME!

Oh I can always count on you for a gut laugh...you are AWESOME!!! LMAO!!!!!

And you returned the favor with your 'protein shake' comment. Lmao!!!

I want to google to try and find the article, but something tells me that I won't find it using the term protein shake!

NoR~You're on the right track, it was a CNN Article...take a look at the headline:

"Study: Fellatio may significantly
decrease the risk of breast cancer in women"

I do enjoy the word fellatio...NO pun intended! ;-)

Right, but you see it's a fake thing, right?

Fellatio is a good word. Kinda like that director - Fellini.

i thought "my boo" was waaaaay over and played out as far as slang goes. maybe that's just here.

stop blaming the teacher. (did i say that out loud?)

Torrance~You're so good to me :)

NoR~A CNN article fake? Nooooooo (sarcastically)!

NoR~Only fellatio...that's what does it for me.

Nance~Don't you know our kids recycle those words the same way we have with clothing and music over the years?!

And perhaps I need to elaborate a bit...

Everyone who knows me knows that I am NOT a parent who automatically blames the teacher, because I know my kids...and when they're wrong they're wrong.

This teacher in particular decided she'd put an "F" on W's report card a couple years ago in Math (and I'm a Math teacher---go figure) and had not sent one piece of correspondence home since I saw the "A" on his interim. So I asked her why wasn't I notified that he wasn't turning his work in, because he certainly understood the concepts! No note in the agenda...NOTHING. She gave the indication that "she didn't have time." The principal told her to "make time" as a grade report is too permanent for her to toy with my son's record that way...water under the bridge.

Well last week, she wrote a note in D's agenda that he shot an "imaginary" basket in the air during Math class...an IMAGINARY BASKET...ONE...yet she couldn't send that simple note when W was supposedly FAILING Math?!?!?! THAT'S my problem with her. And I will NOT go there with her this year, I don't have the energy to deal with her SHIT!

(Inhale/Exhale Tera)

so in other words, the last time you and this teacher had cause to speak she got her ass handed to her for not communicating with you when there was a problem and now she's decided to get her revenge by sending home nit-picky notes every time your other son pisses her off.
~nice~ example of maturity for your kids to learn from.
i'm not impressed.

Heather~By golly I think you've got it!!! And for the record, I'm not either! Hmph!

Woo, Heather nailed it in one! Some teachers should have psych exams and then disbarred when the need arises. Eff that tenure ish. It shouldn't take sexual abuse of your child to get them fired.
